OVERVIEW

As the long war between the Terrans and the alien Vasudans continues on, another, more powerful species threatens both with annihilation. Your Terran unit of the space armada is once again called to action as the last, best hope of mankind. Strap into your space fighter, check your weapon load-out, and kiss the wife good-bye, because you may not return from the reaches of FreeSpace.

Just so you know, this game has nothing to do with the original Descent series. The only common tie is that is was developed by part of the team the produced the origianl Descent games and has a science fiction theme ans first person persective. This game is actually closer to the Wing Commander series than the Descent series in terms of play.

So why include it on this site? Simple. The game is associated with Descent and it is a blast to play, which of course is the ultimate mark of a game. Simply stated, if you like space sims, you're gonna love this game. I had never been interested in them until Freespace came along. Give it a try, you'll like it.

SHIFT + C	Toggles countermeasures on all ships
G	Marks all primary goals complete
SHIFT + G	Marks all secondary goals complete
ALT + G	Marks all bonus goals complete
K	Destroys your target
ALT + SHIFT + K	Does ~10% damage to your target

I	Toggles invulnerability
